I sent the following message to Virgin Mobile:
Hello, I just wanted to point out that it would be nice if, say, a
Virgin Mobile user can upload images to the VirginMobile website to be used as wallpapers. You could even charge them a fifty cents or a dollar for each image they send to their phone. I, and many others think this would be a better idea than just using the *MTV ones on the phone.
thanks,
reply...
Hi there Stephen!
Thanks for contacting Virgin Mobile.
Sounds like a good idea to me. Unfortunately, our lawyers aren't
thinking the same way we are. The suggestion that you have brings up a
lot of questions regarding copyright laws, royalties, etc. I think it's
great and I'll make sure to pass it along, I'm just not sure if it will
ever be implemented. Sorry about that.
I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions or comments, feel
free to give us a call anytime or visit us on the web at
www.virginmobileusa.com.
so I guess that's a NO...I even offered a way for them to make money...

Wirelessly posted (SE47/1.0.00 UP.Browser/4.1.26l UP.Link/5.0.2.9)
You mean for free? How much do they charge for internet?

bell charges .25 per minute or .05 cents per kilobyte, something like that im not too sure
and ya i meant for free, cuz their website charges 2 bucks a picture.

I took a look at the mime-types the slider supports, and i didnt see any for gif or jpg (which is all tagtag.com has) It looks like the only graphics mime-type on the phone is PNG. So unless you found a site for slider pics (or use the bell downloads *shudder*), you may have to set up your own server.
If anybody has found different, I would love to hear about it.
