I tried both and ended up keeping the SE. I like the size of the Chameleon but found it way to difficult to place it in my ear properly.

I also tried both and ended up keeping the HBH-65

Id go with the HBH65, less battery life but so much more clear and convienent.

HBH-65Works great and love the voice tags..... It's nice to her your wifes name whispered in your ear when she calls.

Well, as of tomorrow I'll be the proud owner of an HBH-65 to accompany my new P900, so I hope that my experience'll be as good as some others'.

I have both, and while I really like the Chameleon, I normally use the HBH because it uses the same charger as my phone.

(I travel a lot, and it is easier to carry just one charger in my suitcase.)

i know the hbh65 supports voice dialling and recieving but does the chameleon?

The re-vamped chameleon is certainly something to rave about. You have to keep in mine that these BS headsets have far better battery life then any SE BT headset. I have collected 8 different SE BT headset models over the years and battery life has always been its downfall. What's the point of hearing the voice tag (which only allows 1 alert by the way) if you don't plan on keeping the headset around your ear at all times. I've been using the BSD as my pre-ferred headset for now, but the -65 isn't anything special from its predecessors.

Hi Darkmark,

Back in September when the Chameleon BS first premiered I did a review on Hofo... here's a link to the thread.

not all ears can fit bluespoon properly....

but if it does, you dont have to worry it droping off from your ears

I think I know, why some will call Chameleon re-vamped,..but in reality its a very new headset.

All the exterior is different from the first Bluespoon analog, and a lot of the interior is also new designs.
Also the software part is different,.. same software as Digital... same features.

hardware-wise,..also different regarding speaker, mic etc.

Even the small soft springs are not exactly the same materials as the previous ones...redesigned too,...more progressive, stronger end-piece...

The backpiece is different, both size, shape, and holes for speaker.

The Digital is much closer to the old analog when speaking of materials, size etc.

Chameleon was basically designed from scratch
And is a completely new design.
So no "re-used" parts here

If the product still bears the same name (Bluespoon Chameleon -> Bluespoon Chameleon), but has a new esthetic and technological layout then it is considered revamped. How would you distinguish the older model from the newer one by just talking about it to someone? This change is similar to that of the automobile industry that constantly changes structures of a car line, but maintains the name. Name changes are used to let consumers know that it isn't simply the same model. That is a marketing strategy. The word revamp denotes that an object has either been renovated or revised. That is exactly what Nextlink did. Otherwise they would have named it something else. If they don't want consumers to believe that it's a revamped product then market it with a different name. That's marketing 101. So I think my choice in diction is entirely appropriate.

BIGFEAT >

Apparently you got something wrong here.....

...there is NO older Chameleon....

There has only been ONE headset called Chameleon, and thats the one that is out now !
There is NO new one....and NO older one....

And its got nothing to do with marketing,..please read my posts, and you can see that Chameleon (+ name) was not even thought of, when the first original Bluespoon came along.

The first Bluespoon headset:
Was NOT a Chameleon
Was NOT named Chameleon
Didnt have anything to do with Chameleon
Chameleon didnt exist at that time, it was just a normal analog headset called BLUESPOON
(3 different ones: Panther, Special edition (blue) and Standard (silver metallic).

The name Chameleon was "invented" by me, when we decided that our new headset should be able to change covers.

So if you see this product as "revamped",..then every other product on earth are revamped stuff too.....

Revamped,..is basically the same as a facelift,..in the car-world, a facelift will not change the silhouette/curves/lines of the vehicle, but only do minor, yet better modifications. Could be new headlights, other alloy wheels etc..

Chameleon is by no mean a revamp/facelift,..as the model itself is built from scratch,..NO exterior parts from other Bluespoon headsets have been used in the project,..
completely new mouldings, CADS etc were done...and so on....

The ONLY thing being the same is.....ehrmm BLUETOOTH

Aaahhh.... My appologies then J-. I have seen the headset marketed as BC (bluespoon chameleon) by some vendors whom have reported to carry an 'older' version. It appears that some resellers have made comparisons to its predecessors as one of the same, but simply revamped with a different style. It sounds like it's pure advertising blunders. It's starting to sound like a mistake in identity, but now I'm trying to figure out why we would have been led to believe this to begin with. I don't mean to place blame, but some resellers to profess their advertisements as truthful. For instance, memory stick resellers are liable to get an earful from customers because of false product description. Many have been advertising 256mb Memory Stick DUOs (instead of 256mb DUO PRO) on their sites and have stuck to their guns about the validity of their product description claim. I have personally caught a few in their advertisement blunders and challenged them to research their claims. They have all since come back to appologize for the mistake and revised the product description. Their accuse has been that they were misinformed somehow and they too were led to believe the product they carried was as advertised. Again, I think its how some resellers describe the BC it compared to its predecessors.

I'm a big fan of the Chameleon. I've used the Jabra, own and HBH-30, and have used the BS Digital. The people I speak with on my phone unanimously prefer the Chameleon over the Digital! I think the issue with the Digital has something to do with the level of processing required, combined with the particular pitch/volume of my voice (I need to almost yell to get it to work correctly in noisy environments).
The 5-6 hour battery life of either of these is a big plus. I travel all the time and don't need to take the charger on shorter trips.
You do have to play around to get it to fit properly, after that it's a dream.
