I was reading on the net about the cable needed to unlock M55 and use other utilities and found that cable needs to take power from the port, not the phonefor all utilities to work.
I also found that OEM cable is no good for this, some serial cables are ok, some won't work (depending on the cable).
But I'm a little confused about USB cable - all of them are taking power from the port ? Or there are some cables that don't ? How to determine the right cable ?
USB cable users please help me, I'm planning to buy cable soon, just want to buy the right one.
And where is the best place in Toronto to buy cable - Pacific Mall ?

The USB cable does get power from the USB port on the PC...Pac Mall is where most of us here that live in the GTA got ours (including me)

did you try the utility (quick eeprom feature v32) to remove Aircraft check using your cable ?

yes...
and it's quite easy too...

just drag and drop and delete like if it was a removeable drive.
