Ok I am using my own WAP proxy and successfully connecting to my tagtag.com site (tagtag.com/cttest) I am trying to set up a link to download ringtones I keep getting "unsupported media type" have tried a midi file and an mp3 file. Will it be possible for me to download one of these types of files from this site to my phone to use as a ringer?

Also is a special webserver required to host .wml sites? I got an editor and am trying to host a site on my own server so I dont have to work with a 1 meg limit but it always gives me the same error. Unsupported media type.

Last question (I know this has been discussed here but I just want to make sure).. Now that I am using this WAP server does that mean I only get billed for phone time and not data Transfer? Can I get rid of my unlimited picture sending for $4.99?

Can I host java games and install those too?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

I'm just learning about my VX6000 cellphone so I don't have a lot of answers, and it seems that my "newbie-ness" annoys some users in this forum. I hope you aren't one of those "elite". Anyhow, I have discovered the following, some of which you may already know: To upload some sound files, I have to rename the file with a .MID extension even if it is actually another format. I read somewhere on this site that "filename extensions don't matter with this phone". Go figure. Anyhow, I have furthermore discovered that I can send a so-called/so-named .MID file from two different email systems (e.g. Yahoo and my work web mail), and my phone reacts differently. A .MID from Yahoo is rejected because of invalid MIME type. But it is accepted if sent from my work web mail (a proprietary software package), possibly because it doesn't put the same MIME type in a message header. I'm not sure what's going on there. I wish I could find a technical reference without having to scour all these forums and piece it together. But I'm grateful that this forum and its users exist.
