Originally posted by papercliprebel argh! after 3 emails, i finally got a reply...for a tracking number for a shipment...to my billing address (and not my shipping address). unfortunately that's 2 states away. the service has definitely been subpar or borderline non-existant. this better be the best charging usb cable ever engineered by man! |

Originally posted by showtz I ordered the VX6000 USB Data cable for 29.95 on 12/7/03 before it was out of stock. I received an invoice email immediately after ordering. I waited for 5 days (12/12) and tried calling them, but their phone number keeps disconnecting me. I tried emailing them and they still have not responded (12/21). If anyone has any info about this, please let me know. Thanks, Jim |
they will close the sellers account and refund my money. We'll see how it goes. There is one other seller of the cable on ebay but I'm going to wait till this plays itself out before I buy again.

Originally posted by beakmyn I think they've gone belly-up. I called the 800 number and I was the first in the queue for every department but no-one is answering calls or emails. |

Originally posted by wongste Good point - I never thought of that. What would be the consequence of overcharging? I guess probably fry the battery? Does anyone know if the cable that verizon wireless sells in the "mobile office kit" is a charging cable? They don't specifiy. ![]() But it sure would be convenient if you don't have to disconnect from the Internet because your battery never goes flat. |

Originally posted by mrblufeel As for charging your battery with our cable. The cable does charge in a regulated fashion. ... I would recoment only charging your phone when it needs it... Best Regards Robert Valentine RPI Wireless |
) and I was out of the town I was in, so to add more hassle i had to have it reshipped from where it was being sent to where I am. |
Originally posted by starmanj Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. Bitpim locks my XP computer up using RPI/Tangshop cable. I downloaded the USB drivers from RPI wireless. The drivers grabbed COM ports 3 and 4; 3 is a "modem", and 4 is "diagnostics". Bitpim ver7 test 2 crashes my XP computer every time. I tried setting Bitpim to COM 3 then 4, crashes both ports. Either the USB drivers are bad, maybe they're not for XP, or Bitpim ver 7.2 is bad, or I am not setting phone up right. I set the phone, under Settings->1x data-> RS-232 and speed 115200. Funny, my phone keeps changing back to USB or "closed"; it doesn't seem to like RS-232. Help! Starmanj |

Originally posted by SeventyFive Thanks for charging my credit card the day I placed my order, that's very professional of you. For those of you who need a cable, I would buy it from anywhere BUT RPI wireless. |
| Not sure what else to say here, most of the people bashing RPI are either from Tangshop.com or other eBay sellers. |

Originally posted by Mikenificent I see you missed or avoided the question so i'll ask it again... Do you have the charging VX6000 data cable that you are selling on ebay in stock or not? I and most other people understand that this isn't your place of business, but being that it's easier to get through to the radio station then your company and your staff never respond to emails in a timely manner this seems like the option. Especially when you respond here more than you do to paid customers who emailed you (going on two days again and no response yet you have the time to post here). Before I was trying not to jump to any conclusions until I got a response from your company, but being that the response has yet to come I guess what's said is true. If I don't receive either notification that my order has shipped by friday or a refund ll be contacting ebay and paypal. It's ridiculous. Sad thing is the auction is still going so more and more people are going to have to face the same problem |

Originally posted by mrblufeel This is getting carried away! All of the customers were notified of any issues with defective cables. If you would like to waist the BBB time then you really should contact the office in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Our Business office is located thier. Aslo use our correct phone number 888-784-0685 it seems the ××× above has been trying to contact us at the wrong number. Any way, this is not our place of business and we will not be responding to any of these crazy post any more. |

Originally posted by mcb56 Still haven't gotten mine, but I called USPS and was told that Priority mail doesn't mean it will get to your destination any sooner than regular mail. She said it is for anything over 13 onces and usually takes 5-7 days. Mine was shipped on 2/9, so that is already 8 mailing days. Still no reply from RPI. I E'd them to see what drivers I should use and asked for a tracking number. |

Originally posted by GPz1100 I ship alot via first class, parcel post, and priority for ebay sales, and priority has always gotten there within 2-3 business days. |
|
Originally posted by GPz1100 That's nonsense. USPS priority takes 2-3 busines days tops (unless there extenuating conditions). If it won't get there any sooner why are you paying 2-3x the price of parcel post..... Sounds like the person you talked to at USPS has no idea what PRIORITY mail is. I ship alot via first class, parcel post, and priority for ebay sales, and priority has always gotten there within 2-3 business days. Did RPI give you a delivery confirmation #? Granted this isn't a tracking #, but can sometimes give you an idea where your package is if any of the processing centers scanned it. |

Originally posted by mcb56 It is illegal for any US company to charge your CC before a product ships. A call to you CC company might get them to stop this practice. They might even get fined. |
|
Originally posted by winterp I do not believe that is true - please cite the law that would make such practice illegal. Unless their terms of sale explicitly state that they do not charge your card until they ship your order then they have done nothing wrong. |
|
Originally posted by mcb56 Don't believe me!!! Call your CC company and get it straight from them. If you have a card or statement, there should be a customer service number on it. |
