well i got my data cable today, and i cant get it to connect... i have a Lg vx4400B and i hooked it up to my comp. (inbehind the computer) and pluged it into my phone and i tried all 4 ports and nothing works... im using gagin 1.0 i only get a message that says, an recongnized memory configuration... thats what i get when i try to connect to port 1 is there a diff. prog. i should use ? or what? i dont know why its not connecting?

Which cable do you have, and what driver are you using?

I have done this successfully with the FutureDial cable #170-0783 and their automated driver installer from http://www.futuredial.com/support/u...ers/Drivers.htm . First installed the drivers, then hooked up the phone to one of my free USB connectors - it was then recognized and installed as "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port".

Go to your control panel and then check system, device manager. Check to see what com port your Prolific USB to Serial Comm port is using. Mine was on COM5 so I just manually typed that in in BITPIM and got it to work.
