I received my rpi wireless cable today. Installation seemed to go fine.
I am able to send and receive Phone Book data to and from the phone (its a 6000 btw). However, I cannot send or receive wallpaper, ringtones or calendar.
I receive the following error message when I try:
An unexpected exception has occurred.
Please see the help for details on what to do

I have posted this question on the sourceforge site but noticed that someone else had asked the same question but it has gone unanswered.
Anyone here have any luck with this? Any pointers?

Alright, here's a follow up to my own question.
I've been doing a little screwing around with the phone and with bitpim and have found that, while it will not load them all at once, I can download the wallpapers by doing the following:
filesystem
brew
shared
mms
d
at this point you will see the wallpapers you already have. right click on the "d" and choose new file. just go into your home computer at that point and find the file you want to add
I'm assuming I can download ringtones in basically the same way (into the proper area for ringtones, of course).

Wait, there's more...
After dowloading the initial wallpapers according to the rules above I cannot seem to get anymore to show up. There are there in the tree in bitpim but they will not show up anywhere on the phone.
Have not done anything with sound yet.
Thanks to anyone who can help out on this stuff.
By the way, could someone create a sticky with some hard fast rules about wallpapers? Some of you guys seem to know these phones like the back of your own hand. I see there is a thread with wallpapers in it but its hard to keep going back and finding the proper threads sometimes.

Alright! I finally found the old tutorial:
http://home.nycap.rr.com/stopcbt/vx6000.html#wallpaper
I still have some probs, though.
I mistakenly deleted one of the original wallpapers in bitpim. I can now not get rid of the shell of it in the graphics area of my phone. Yes, I followed the intructions in the tutorial and reloaded the zip with all of the original wallpaper files but it still does not let me delete the shell because the zip version is read by the phone as a downloaded file (its icon has a little red arrow).
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the shell?
Also, after I do my initial download session of pics I cannot get a second session to be read by the phone without deleting all the previously downloaded pics. Is the info somewhere online? I've been looking but have not found the answer.
AND A SOUND PROBLEM...even after following the tutorial on how to load MP3 ringers I can't get them to take. The problem is that when I right click in the ringer area it will only look for MIDI files, not MP3's.
Anyone help with this stuff?
Thanks!

I noticed that the errors in the first post reference 4400. I think you may have the wrong version of BitPim. I think you need the one specifically for the VX6000. Here is a link where you should be able to download it.

Make sure to uninstall the old one, and delete the directory manually just to be sure.

Your suggestion has helped...A LOT. Thank you VERY much.
I thought that 0.62 was the 6000 version and did not realize there were a couple of diff versions.
The wallpapers are all much easier to handle now.
On the MP3 front I was able to quickly load an MP3 and it did show up in the menu on the phone BUT it was silent. Not a sound to be heard from it.
Has anyone actually been able to get an MP3 ringtone to work?

Sad to say, Google is the best way to find threads in this forum, not the search button in the forum itself!!!
I put "mp3 vx6000" (no quotes) in a google search. I was able to find this thread:

Hope this helps
