Sudden powering off on X70

Hello everyone,

Could this be my most unlucky day or what? I was happily browsing pictures in "My Picture Folder" (in thumbnail size) and everything just went blank on me! NO other buttons except the "End Call" button could bring my X70 back to life again!

However, as i quickly repeated what i just did, that fault doesn't seem to surface again. Browsing my pics now seems so frightening to me.

Any of you guys encounted this problem before, or am i just having rotten luck?

Any solutions or suggestions or comments?

PS: My X70 ain't a month old yet....*sob*....

Sup,

I have actually had a similar problem as the one you are describing. With me however the problem would arrise when the phone was closed with simi-force, the phone would just shut down. A co-worker has the same phone as me and when I tried his (closing the phone with simi-force) there was no problems.

At the time when I was experiencing this problem the phone was a couple of hours old. The only conclusion I could come up with was that the battery is defective or there was not enough charge in it (for the first time use) fore I tried swaping the battery with my co-workers and the problem was resolved on my phone but followed to his.

So far *knock on wood* I have not experienced this problem again. I let the phone die completely then charged it fully before using it again.

Not sure if that helps you but that's the best I can do. Oh, one more thing, I've read that there are other issues with the phone and I've been told that Panasonic is aware of these issue(s) (not to say this is one of them mind you) and they are in the process of releasing an updated firmware. I guess this is all rumor right now considering I haven't heard anything from Panasonic as of yet, but we'll see I guess.

I had a problem where mine turned itself off a few times while the phone was closed. I took the battery out and tried cleaning the connectors, its been ok since.

saw this power off glitch in person today. several times.

phone was flip closed (not gently) and it just turns off. very strange... assuming it's firmware related.
