Rpi Wireless USB Cable Tutorial For Installation

I have gone through so many people having issues with the cable. So I'll try to write a tutorial... but some people dont have trouble so please put in your input.

So whats rpiwireless cable? Its the only cable on the market that is a charging usb cable for the LX6000.

You can buy the cable here .

Lets get cracking.

1. Be sure everything is unhook. Do not connect the usb cable into your computer or anything.

2. If you dont have the little cd with the package, you can download the USB Drivers here . I highly suggest you use these drivers rather then the Futuredial drivers.

3. Double click it and install. Go the through the steps. After installiation you will be prompt with this adversery saying, "Window Xp does not recognize this icon" just click okay.

4. This is where I had problems and other peoples for sure. There will be a prompt suggesting to use Hardware Manager. Click YES, and let it install like how you would install normally useing hardware manager. THIS PROMPT WILL APPEAR THREE TIMES. Click yes to ALL of them.

5. Restart computer.

6. While restarting, on your phone, go to menu>settings>1x Data. Set the port type as USB and speed to 115200.

7. Now install the new Bitpim .62, link here:

8. Now hook everything up, the cable to the phone and the cable to the computer. Restart again just to be sure.

9. Done!

Yes, maybe this tutorial is unecessary, but I think it is useful for people who had trouble installing the drivers... like I did. And the rpiwireless doesn't include instructions in the first place.

Nice tutorial, I am sure will help some people outhere. My only concern is among the Windows. In my case, I installed Bitpim in a machine with a windows '98, no troubles. It wasn't the same story witn a windows XP.
