hi i just got this new phone for christmas and its actually my first cell but im really lost. in the adds, it said that this phone has downloadable ringtones and screensavers, but i cant find any ringtones on the net that are compatible with this fone, and they're all really expensive.
how and where can i get some ringtones for this phone?
also, ive been reading alot about some cable for the phone, USB or seomthing but ive never heard of it and ihave no idea what it is. i rather just have ringtones sent to my phone b/c i dun understand about the cable thing. if anyone can help me or explain it to be, it would b really appreciated!!

yea, it's crap, but technically they're not lying cuz u can download, u just gotta pay... and it's not worth it, meh.

Usually $1.50 / ringtone or image
+ $0.10 handling fee
+ additional cost for web browsing as it requires to be downloaded. If you already have internet minutes, it'll come out of that.

The data cable will allow you to upload ringtones / images from your computer to your phone. And best of all, F R E E .. F R E E..

Also, I don't know if it'll help, but you might want to check out ICQ. They have some stuff related to cellular phones & SMS there. I'm downloading the newest version as I type. Will keep you up to date.

It seems that we may be able to obtain a data cable for as low as $18USD.
Throw in exchange and shipping, ~$40 bux.

Let it be known that I haven't had a use for a data cable yet, thus I have not purchased this myself.

But when the time comes, out comes the VISA and in comes the DIC-8300 data cable.

Purchased a DIC-1100 off of ebay, for $11.50 USD, waiting for a reply with the shipping cost.

I've figured out how to browse sites, but it won't let you download ring tones and wallpapers, go figure.

What cable works the best for this phone? I see two responses on cables so far. What program do you need to use the cable? is there software that comes with? Can someone plese elaborate more. Thanks.
