Too much hype with Sharp/Nec phones!

Hello all ! Seems like there are a lot of threads on nec and sharp phones..The specs doesnt look that attractive compared to the inno 90 from innophone (www.innostream.com)

Why is everyone so hyped up with the sharp and nec screen ? they seemed kinda substandard to me....

Sharp = 262k CG SILICON Screen, not a normal TFT. It looks sharper than anything

It can be compared to your computer monitor hehe

Correct, the screen on a Sharp GX-22 (or GX-20), is one of the most gorgeous things you will ever see. It absolutely blows any other screen out of the water. Oh, and it has a nice camera too (1+ megapixel, I believe). And it calls people, I almost forgot. And on the subject of the NEC 525, I like it, I have it, it's a good phone, probably one of the best GSM phones you can get stateside, it's kind of hard to explain.

I hope this answered your question, I don't really think there are that many threads on the NEC or Sharp, I'm always looking for more information; also, it's probably just that a lot of people have the phone, or have opinions on it, not that it's hyped. Cheers!

Did you know that the inno 90 phone is able to do this? I tried the phone out and the ringtone from mp3 is very good!

yes, i knew inno90 could use mp3 as ringtone... but you're not doing to let your phone ring 2 mins to enjoy the mp3, do you?

mp3 as ringtone is not going to be successful, inno is just trying to be innovative

might as well get a phone like sl45 to enjoy the high quality mp3

just love the idea of having my own special ringtone! unlike nokia or samsung which is so troublesome to convert mp3 or wav files to ringtones!!

i mean, most of the time, ppl get bored in 15min with the pre-loaded ringtones anyways.

I dont think this is a gimmick, more like new trend for mobile phones.

Most PDA/Phone combos have this neat feature anyway.

Because Sharp has the best display and the best camera all over the world!

And if you have a S300 - this phone is substandard! Very small display with bad resolution...
