i heard that people were requesting good WAP homepages/sites... heres a really really great one (from cellphonehack.com).. see for yourseLf on the emulator.. its perfect and organized (theres small pics also)

1. aim

2. AOL/Y!/MSN - access your accounts here

3. Check your mail for Hotmail, yahoo, aol and msn (tell me if i should include ne more)

4. Send a free text message

5. News

6. weather

7. Sports - espn and Y! (all scores, news, trades, everything)

8. ENTERTAINMENT FOLDER
- moviefone, horoscopes, tv guide, lottery, bacon2go, restaurant finder, dream symbols, pocket box office

9. Downloads - free ringtones, pictures (wallpaper) and java games and programs for your celL (works for most)

10. Local info (stuff pertaining towards your area)

11. Google search - internet search and mobile search

12. USEFUL STUFF FOLDER
- 11 language translator, send a net alert, pocket doctor, e trade, guru books (teaches u how to do stuff.. pretty cool), recipes (thousands of recipes its not even funny), next bus (tells you wen the next bus arrives at your location), Mapquest for directions, Superpages (find a person in the U.S.. you can find out their address phone number and more stuff), a bible (loL), dictionary, and a site where you can be able to convert anything.....

Thanks man. this is a really good wap site. It is very useful. it also doesn't tie up my contact list on my slider phone.

thanx guys... the site really is mad good and the best homepage for a cell... yea i know it sucks that we cant get java applications and ringtones and stuff downloadabLe 2 the slider yet (VM) .. o well.. i think this phone has a good future tho.. we'lL c wat happens pe@ce

i made some changes with the site.. added new "wap games' for all of you using the VM slider ... the games r crappy but still thats as far as we can get for now...
make sure u check out the useful tools section... especially recipes.. i didnt even realize how many recipes were actually on it... anyways tell me wat u guys think.. pe@ce!

hey.. the free text msg. option should work... i havent had ne problems with it... try sending one 2 urself... if it doesnt work, let me know...
i'll be making a link 2 twilightwap on my main menu screen... its a pretty good site for color phones and ones u can download stuff on2 (unlike our filtereD slidr, o well)... pe@ce... let me know if nethin else should b updated..

it has about 200 links and im planning to make some more so it could be easier to find one faster... now u dont have to keep changing numbers... just click on a number nD thru procesS of eLimination u couLd find onE w/o the hassLe... try it and tell me how it is... pe@cE

yea, i would like to know how it works with the k7 Slider. My gf has one of those, n' i have the slider. I get to do all these cool stuff with the slider n' she can't do anything lol

Hi,

When I try to access, it seems to get hung up in the "RECEIVING" mode. Any idea why? Should this take a long time?

Also, could you plz let me know the link to put in for hotmail or yahoo mail access, so I can add it to a site I'm building.

I'm using WAP access on Moto phone, and I realize that WAP minutes are still charged against plan minutes. Does anyone know why these minutes are not included in any of the internal phone counters?

you werent able to connect because tagtag was experiencing problems for just a little while, it should definetly be ok by now... the wap address for yahoo email is mobile.yahoo.com/email anD i dont know what hotmail's is... its on my site tho.. i'll get back to u on it:.. peace

hey, i enter your wap site it is good but i have a vm slider and i try to dl the ringtones from the vmrings link them when i try any1 of them it just says network gremlins... wat should i do, or is it trial and error???

Charged for what? I thought it comes off prime minutes or free nights and weekends.

lol rockee i think your confused on something... these are for vm rigntones... they *were* free and now they cost $2 each (if u dont dL it, it'll give u back your original balance within 3 days) i made like 800 links to it on my site, and i was letting him know that it USED to be on a trial and error basis... thats all.. it doesnt concern anything else but Virginmobile:..

By the way, do you know what that hotmail link address is? The only one I could find puts you into the whole MSN thing which is too wordy.

lol.. because vm has filters on any type of downloading from the net besides theirs.... so u can download nething from the net .. only the stupid vmxtras which no 1 even uses....

since u have the VM Slider, u cant get it directly... but .. if u buy the kyocera cable for the slider, u'll be able to load wallpaper and ringtones to your phone using GAGIN or BITPIN... just click on some of the threads discussinG the cable... pe@ce

Im so new to this stuff so bare with me I have a kyocera slider se47 with metropcs. and i have spend the last 10 hours reading these forums okay i have tried everything to get my web broser setup so i can go on the web. and nothing that i have read is working. AM I JUST TOO STUPID

and another thing what is wap and all the other stuff mean.. please come to my rescue
