I've read lots of things on this forum about the NEC 525 and how to use the memory manager... and I was wondering if it works on the 515. I don't want to go out and buy an IR cable and not be able to use it for anything but addresses and stuff...

You actually don't use and infra-red cable with your NEC, you have to buy the USB cable from NEC's webiste (http://www.nechdm.com/purchase.asp), and it works with the 525 and 515.
