You either did not follow directions, installed the wrong driver, or your phone isnt open to USB connections(found under settings)

what did i do to get such little respect?
of course i followed directions...and of course the phone was turned on , and settings were configured properly.
and , yes , the drivers that were on the cd were installed.

so now what>
i know the cable is connected, for it turns the phone on and off.

More info would probably be needed:

- Which cable are you using?

- Did you see a new entry(ies) in your System Hardware list for the phone after it's been connected to the USB port?

- What speed is set on the phone and in the Port setting for the computer?

- Which software are you using to try and access the phone (e.g., BitPM)?

I used the Automatic USB driver installer from:

http://www.futuredial.com/support/u...ers/Drivers.htm

with the FutureDial 1100/5200/5250/4NE1/1010/TM510/VX1/VX10/VX2000/VX3100/... cable, and BitPM 0.62 worked the first time after the initial device was properly installed.

I was having the same problems with my Win XP box. By the way, the software that comes with RPI cables, the auto install does not work in Win '98, you need to use the "explorer" feature, and install it manually. It works in XP.
Any way, my XP box did not see the phone, until I install the drivers from futuredial manually, you need to tell XP where the drivers are located. I did not see any for XP and LG6000, so I picked the Hitachi drives. Hope this help.

If you check "device manager" in Windows and see a yellow question mark on the USB driver, something is wrong. It will be fixed until you install the correct driver, port 6 will come alive, and bingo! You will talk to your LG6000. Hope this help.
