Help With Bitpim

i got BitPim the other day and found out that i need the data cable for my VX4400. so i got the cable today and when i go to BitPim the port that the cord is in is not showing up it just has COM1 and COM2
can some one please help

Did you install the proper driver? If you installed the driver, then you should be able to Right Click on My Computer->Properties->Hardware tabpage->Device Manager button. Then when you do View->View By DeviceType, you should be able to find the entry under Modems. Double click on the correct Modem entry, and click on the Modem tab page, then you should find the correct COM port to use on top of the page. Sometimes you won't see this port listed in Bitpim, just enter it directly in the Settings dialogbox. If this doesn't work, search the forum for more info. Good luck.
