I have a Nokia 3586i / Nokia USB Cable / Nokia data suite v4.5 ??

I can sychronise my Outlook contacts with the phone but the
phone won't dial the numbers as they are imported. The numbers are all imput (in Outlook) in international format i.e. with the "+" prefix rather than the various international or us/canada "1".
The Nokia PC data suite won't import en masse ex any other format and if you export the data to a spreadsheet & strip out the existing prefixes Outlook re-converts numbers once you bring them back across.
I cannot imagine that I can be the only person with this problem
any suggestions and help would be much appreciated, TIA
