hey guys,

been struggling with conversions for a few days, cant quite figure how to convert sms to text (from s46 to PC) and vice-versa.

setup
cell - s46, pc - XP, software - dataexchange, allfirmware/software updated today, transfer using Infrared.

I've figured how to get the files from and onto the mobile but I think the convertion tool is not working for me. I have the convert button on but files are still in same format (.txt in this matter) after I moved the text file from pc to s46's flexmemory. Same happens when I try moving .smo files from flexmem to PC - format not converted. and yeah of course, the files cant be viewed.

Please advice. thanks bunches

I'm using the s46, win98, data exchange, and a data cable. With file conversion on, simply dragging files between mobile and desktop converts the files for me.

interesting... clicking the convert button doesnt make a difference for me. perhaps I should try reinstalling software again
