DL'ed Ringtones Loud in GIN Preview Now Quiet

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I remember reading something about this a while ago and tried searching, but had no luck. I'm using a VX4400B with V10 I believe. I got a cable to transfer ringtones and wallpapers, and its been well worth it just for the wallpapers.

As for putting ringtones on the phone, they were really quiet. Then I edited them with a program I got up to full volume, but they were still too quiet to hear when my phone was in my pocket. I finally gave in and decided to purchase a few with GIN through myTonz. They were quite loud and clear when I previewed them in the GIN app, but when I set them as ringers, they are even worse than the MIDI's I uploaded. What's even worse is that my little brother has an older VX4400 and has had no problem at all with his DL'ed tones. Is this some new trick VZW stuck in the new version of the phone, or am I doing something wrong?
