IQP-500 Camera DOES NOT fit well on the SL56

I bought one, haven't opened it up. I tried one out today at a local cell store on my SL56. The camera attachment is for the S56, but the store(s) are selling them that it will work w/ the SL56. Not so, there are these rubber nubs at the attachment part of the camera. They get in the way of making a good connection on the SL56. I mean yes, you can use it on the SL56, but you have to really push the camera in.

I guess you can trim the rubber nubs so it will sit better on the SL56. I guess that's why the IQP-511 is made specifically for the SL55/56. The rubber nubs are either really low or they are not there, I don't know. I haven't seen an IQP-511 up close.

I guess I could keep the IQP-500 & trim the nubs, but I've decided I don't need the camera attachment. Nice little toy, but not something you can't use in a spur of the moment. From the couple pics I was able to take, they looked good on the SL56 screen. I'll need to d/l them onto the computer to see if they look better than the Nokia 3650 pics.

Think twice if you want to buy this for your SL55/56. If you are willing to trim the nubs, then go for it. I don't think it's a needed accessory for the phone.

I do like that camera attachment has a flash. But it takes a few seconds for it to cycle to take another pic using the flash.

You have to totally remove the rubber stoppers which is actually very easy as they are just glued on with double sided tape.

The actual camera for the SL series is indentical except it comes without the rubber stoppers in the first place.
