Help - problems pairing bluetooth headset

Hi,

I have had an HBH-65 headset for a few months. It was working fine up until recently when I ran the battery totally dead. Appears to have charged up fine again however. I reset the headset to factory settings (removing all pairing) as per instructions.

I'm trying to pair the headset again with my p800. I get "Bonding Failed". However, I have other problems that may be indicative of something else wrong or a faulty headset. Please review my notes below and let me know your thoughts...

a) In Control Panel>Bluetooth, I go to "Add" and then turn on the phone's pairing mode... According to the sticky thread on pairing your bluetooth headset, you need to have Bluetooth "ON"... My phone will not find the headset in this mode... It only finds the HBH-65 in "Discoverable".

b) After (a) the headset appears in the available devices list and when I select it, a "Bonding in Progress" balloon appears which ends shortly in a "Bonding Failed" balloon and I'm back at the main bluetooth control panel screen.

c) I'm never prompted for the headset passkey.

What could possibly be the problem?

Has the headset gone ****-up?

l had a similiar problem with the HBH-60 it would deny to connect,l returned it to a sony ericsson service center an got it replaced with a new one now it works great.

Had my headset replaced... works fine now.
