Correction. YES it is possible. I'm doing it myself. Just select one that you have in the phone. If you also notice, some of the files already loaded in the phone are MP3's. Check the file types.

You cant, but you basically can. Not as an mp3 but go and d/l a mp3 to wav converter. You can use WAVs as yoru ringtone. Right now i have Linkin Park - Faint as my tone. I first split the mp3 into 35 seconds since after 30 seconds the call ends and goes to your voice mailbox, then after splitting convert to WAV, usually takes up about 5 megs, but no biggy if you have a 128mb MSD.
