USB/BitPim LX4400 Problem...

OK, I've figured out WAP and have it working great. But for some reason, I can't get my phone to communicate with my computer in any way. Here's what happens:

1) I run the USB Installer program from Future Dial just like it says. I've tried to pick both the LX10 and the LX4400 from the list it gives you. Neither works.

2) I ignored the signature messages and installed the program. Windows XP Pro refuses to acknowlege the phone. It shows up under Device Manager as a PCI Modem, but no driver is associated with it. I can't get it to recognize the driver software.

3) I went ahead and tried to use BitPim and it tells me that it can't communicate to the phone. It is trying to use Com Port 2.

What am I missing here? I've tried to get helpon this everywhere and I can't find anything. Please help and thanks for your time.

Sorry, wrong thread.

Aw hell, I thought someone had the answer for me. I may have gotten the wrong cable. I have seen various people say to get different ones. I got the 183, not the 189.

Anyone got any ideas?

I initially had some challenges. I think they were resolved once the drivers were correctly installed.

you are using the futuredial drivers?
