Good headset for MP3's?

I'm inclined to start using my i600 for listening to MP3s instead of my iPod. I found however that the maximum volume produced by the i600 is not that loud. I know that the 'in-the-ear-canal" type earbuds would make thing sound louder, but I am no fan of these. Does anyone know if there's a "regular" earbud style headset that has a little amplifier in the cord?
