Problems with trying to get free ringtones for VM Slider

Around 8pm last night I went on to tagtag/maluenvy and was trying the free ringtone section of his website. I went through about 100 different 7 digit numbers on the site. None of them worked. I kept getting the Network Gremlins message. Finally, I just gave up on it.

At 9:30pm that same night, I made a call that was less than a minute. I checked my balance, and it was at $27.10, which was the right amount. I close the phone, and put it in the charger.

Around 11pm that same night, I checked the balance again, and it was at $4.85. I had made no calls since the call at 9:30.

I called customer service and they told me to call back in the morning because they had no way to fix it until the morning. I called back, and they said that around 8pm the followin night, I had purchased 11 ringtones, even though I had not. They said it was no problem, and that in 72 hrs, my phone will be credited for the ringtone since I didn't d/l them.

So I guess, even though I kept getting the Network Gremlins message, my phone was charged for ringtones I did not receive. Even though if I got them, they were supposed to be free.

I was wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem?

Is it hard to add ringtones and wallpapers to the phone?

I was going to order the USB cable. When it comes to computers, im intermediate in what I know about them and how to use them. Is it complex to do it that a normaal comp. user should not attempt?

it is extremly easy, you need to download gagin though, i dont have a link for it
you also need to dl the file you are going to upload onto your phone
try searching for wut ever ring tone you want in google, the easiest way is to get midi ringers in the .mid extension

if you want 50 cent wanksta
search for wanksta.mid

wall papers are more complex first off b/c this phone is picky about what it will accept and the sizing of the picture is hard to find, if you have photo shop you could resize the pic to make it fit

damn man... that seriously sucks.. o well .. i knew they would eventually fix it ... ::sighs::... least we all got some ringtones neway.. 2 bad it just wont last

After a full hour i only got 1 ringtone, and one i didnt want at that.

some silly "Notre Dame Victory" song........ I got it about half hour into my attempts, which was really odd cuz none of the ones before or after it worked.

Afterward my phone got really backed up, the web stopped working, and my balances never came. Later on that night i checked the balance and it was still fine.

I didnt get any credit taken away, got a not so great ringtone. Its morning now too, so i doubt ill get $2 taken off.

and, any of this might be different becasue i have a VOX8500 -----not the slider

(the downloaded ringtone worked fine tho!)
