Logo on Nokia 3595

I'd love to get rid of the text "AT&T WIRELESS" splattered across my Nokia 3595's wallpaper. From what I gather from reading through the faqs, it isn't text like on my old TDMA 3360, that can be changed with a *3001#12345# code, but is rather part of a picture called a "logo".

On the very useful web/wapsite www.jhonny.org/wap, I found a "blank operator logo" picture (picture #1, as it happens), and downloaded it to my 3595. The phone responded "Operator logo received", and then played the incoming message alert. I clicked "Show", and saw a blank screen with the small text "Operator logo" at the top. I clicked "Save", and it showed Operator Logo Saved, with the checkbox animation, and then returned me to the jhonny site. I exited mmode, went back to my default page....and the "AT&T WIRELESS" text is still there.

Any suggestions? I thought about making my own 72x14 bmp file, but I don't know what color to make it. I don't want to make a white box, and have *it* overlaying my wallpaper! But the faq doesn't say which color is considered transparent.

Help!

Check under the display settings to see that the logo is actually turned on, but I recommend leaving it alone as turning it on causes SIM card errors on most models of this phone.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it has no effect on the "AT&T WIRELESS" logo overlying my wallpaper whether the logo is turned on or off in the display settings.

About what sort of SIM card errors are you talking? Permanent, or temporary?

Temporary. It will give a msg that says Please Insert Sim Card. You will have to turn the phone off and then on again for the phone to recognize the card again.

I´ve noticed that with my 3510i the "insert sim card" error happens when downloading ringtones, Java applications via GPRS. Also if you leave the phone on idle mode after receiving the "insert sim card error" it will sometimes disappear on its own.
