The phone is a little wide. Doesn't fit comfortably in your hand. For the price it needs to feel more solid.

How do you know how it fits in my hand? Or anyone else's hand, for that matter. It fits fine in my hand. I don't doubt that you don't like how it feels in your own hand, but that doesn't mean much to anyone else.

These two pda phones are very much in the same league. I'm a big fan of Motorola's Accompli phones, but the Treo's specs look very tempting...
The only dissadvantage is Treo's smaller screen real estate... they should have offered a model without the keyboard and with a character recognition similar to that of the A388 (NOT Graffiti!)...

The Accompli has all the looks but none of the brains. It's like Joey in Friends.

Have you ever seen a download site like PalmGear devoted to a phone like the Accompli or ever heard anyone say complimentary things about its data input. I never have.

The Accompli has great data input... the character recognition UI is actually very well thought and dismisses any reason to re-learn to write (aka Graffiti). Also the overal UI is very easy to use and the phonebook totally usable to place a call with one hand without using the stylus (if the Treo had a strong character recognition they would not need the keyboard and could use a bigger screen)
On the other hand the Accompli's use of "TrueSync" realy suck d**k, Palm HotSync is SO much better and simple to use. Also the J2ME java platform is cute but given the lack of interesting software and the fact that there are so many great PalmOS titles available, I would rather have a PalmOS phone.

The Treo270 looks very well designed... my only questions (apart from text input) is why did they not make if GPRS compatible out of the box and why do they have two dual-band versions rather than a single triband? Whould this be the same hardware and would it be possible to hack the Treo into a triband?
