I have been looking for a program (preferably free/cheap) that will convert MP3s or WAV files into midis. I tried to use Xingtones, but it's not set up to work with Verizons service. It wants to send the ringtones over the air, but won't allow a Verizon address.
Is there a decent program that will convert these files and then allow you to send them to the phone over a data cable using Bitpim for example?
I did a search and found nothing!!!

you can simply rename the mp3 to midi. You will want to make sure you trim down the kbps. use something like music match to convert from mp3 to wav. once its a wav edit it with another. (sound recorder would work even). After the song is trimmed to your liking, re concert it to mp3 again (music match). I would suggest something like 64 kbps. once its an mp3, the file size will be very small and just rename it to *.midi
