today, i was putting some stuff on my phone (vx 4400) with Bitpim and everything was going fine and dandy. then, after i put a couple more things on, i put it through a power cycle, and suddenly my problem began. When it powers on, it show the verizon logo, as usual, but goes nowhere from there. After a while, it goes blank, then starts the power up again. is there anything i can do?? if not, can i take it to verizon and have them flash it new or whatever they can do???

Did you try taking the battery off while in the verizon screen?

if you did, try again and leave the battery off for a few minutes.

if the problem presist take it to verizon.

And just to know, what where you doing with the bitpim when this happened?

Good luck.

i was putting on some games that i had backed up

oh, and one more thing, i had some wallpapers that i would rather not have people see. will verizon wipe it clean, or will they just make it start again???

The VX4400 is a great little phone. I'm waiting to receive my new Treo 600 with Sprint PCS, which means I'm cancelling my service with Verizon. According to the recent Consumer Reports, the VX4400 is a highly rated phone. OK, it won't have all the bells, whistles, and functionality as the Treo, but the VX never gave me any problems.

just take it back and vzw will give you a warranty replacement. dont worry about the wallpapers, they have better things to do w/their time...plus, you cant get past the power-on screen!
