Umm I'm also wondering if anyone knows how to change my power off animation.... morons have it saying hello to me when i shut it down!

Someone was able to hack the start up screen to show alll white, but it still played the music. The shut down screen remains unalterable at the moment.

I'd kinda like to expand this discussion... what are the annimations good for anyway....?
Can we use them as screensavers?
Can we use vzwpix to transfer them?
What are the requirements to for making them?
I have little gif of Strangbad dancing, could that work as a background or a screensaver?

I'm with you man. The music is worse though, and loud.

Verizon tweaked the phone a bit, so it's not as easy to get stuff on there as the Telus 8900. For this reason, I have not seen any other animations besides the build-in ones. I don't see any in Get It Now either. If anyone find some for download for the Verizon 8900, please let me know.

Assume you got the animation onto your phone somehow, then you could use them as your screen saver, possibly on/off animations.

As far as I know, vzwpix only supports "Slide show", which is basically buncha jpgs stringed together with midi for each slide. I havn't seen animation on vzwpix.

Since we havn't seen any anim files, don't know what it takes to make them.
