Problems deleting all data from i730

I was wondering if anyone actually had luck removing ALL ringtones & wallpapers from their i730. I've uploaded some ringtones that never show up in the list, but still decrease available memory. I know there have been a couple other threads regarding this, but I had already tried the solutions that were suggested in these other posts. Below is what I've tried and what it yielded:

Obviously you can't highlight and delete a ghost ringtone since it doesn't appear on the phone. So the easy fix is eliminated.

"Master Reset" (under Settings>Advanced>Connectivity) doesn't do the trick. It only clears all account information from the phone and powers it down. Upon power up, if you have NOL, you are asked to refresh browser. All data & personalized settings remain unchanged.

"Reset Settings" (under Settings>Advanced>Reset Defaults) doesn't do the trick either. All that does is put you back to defaults on everything, quite annoying actually.

Finally, I tried "Reset All" (same location as "Reset Settings') and that didn't do it either. As far as I can tell, the only additional thing that happened was the deletion of all contacts. (Thank God for addresss book.)

There used to be a "Master Clear" on the i90c, which did work for this problem as I recall, and it seems as if they renamed it to "Reset All" and took away the data clearing function, even though it warns you prior to doing it that all data will be lost.

I know I only have a few posts since last March when I registered so call me what you will, but please consider helping, since it will hopefully help other, non-Noobs out as well. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

use RSS, do RECOVERY it will delete EVERYTHING on the PHONE (not ur sim card, so ur phone book is safe). This will leave the phone with NO oem wallpapers, NO oem ringers, NO oem carrier / java / text / power down images. so instead of those iamges it will display it in text... Hope i've been of some help

Yes you have, thanks. Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if there's a way to do it wihout deleting the java apps? I guess that's silly because by definition I want to clear all data, but maybe someone figured out a way to just delete all ringtones and/or wallpaper without affecting java apps. Or maybe just a way to just delete these ghost files?

I tried to do a recovery in RSS Super Agent R01.16.02 and it didn't work because I never created a backup of my codeplug prior to loading ringtones and wallpapers in the first place. This problem has become increasingly aggravating as I've searched and searched everywhere to no avail.

Has anyone been successful in actually wiping out all data without using RSS or the like, or with RSS if you never backed up your phone?

FYI, I updated my i730 to software version R0A.00.04 (from R0A.00.00) and all my java apps were wiped out, but not my ringtones and wallpapers. For some reason, the i730 has a real problem when wiping out all data with methods that used to work fine, ie: software upgrade, master clear, etc.

Then, figuring the new software perhaps fixed this issue, I tried the same things as descirbed in my initial post in this thread. Same results occured. PLEASE HELP ME, these ghost ringtones are taking up needless space and I can't load as much stuff anymore! Thanks again in advance to all gurus who I know can figure this out.

P.S. I've now learned to make sure all midis/wavs are in the correct format so they will indeed show up and not just take up space.

After recovering a phone is there no way to fully recover it? IE. return it back to the original factory specs with the startup images and all? Seems mighty lame that you couldn't be able to do such a thing!
