Ok, I just got my RPI Wireless Data Cable today and I'm having this installation problems...pictures speak louder than words.

See the "unknown" piece of hardware, I dont know what it is, but it came up during installation and windows couldnt find a driver for it. Should I ever worry about this? I cant seem to access my phone with Bitpim, so I'm assuming this would be the problem.

did you install the drivers properly?
The rpi cable comes with a cd with the proper drivers, if not head over to futuredial.com and find them there. then uninstall all the devices, and reinstall the driver. Remember not to plug in the phone until the drivers are properly installed.

peace,
matt

First remove the unknown device from the device manager. Then install all the RPI drivers FIRST. Then plug in your phone, and turn it on. Then cycle through all of the windows' installs.

Your new hardware should work and be recognized by the device manager.
