How can I set my incoming calls to go to voicemail asap?
Currently, the caller hears 5 rings followed by silence for 3-4 seconds then my greeting. That's about a 20 second wait for a caller. I have Verizon voicemail.

I would like to be able to know when I have received a message. I had set the controls to hear 3 short tones when a message came in but I have since changed the setting and I can't figure how to get back to that set up.

I just got the 8600 model last week to replace my voicemail pager.
Thank you,

Well, I'm with Bell in Canada and one option for us is to specify the amount of rings before hittting VM.
You can try to see if this works with Verizon??

Change numbers of rings before voicemail
*94 x (x is the number of rings 0-9)
eg *945 would be 5 rings

As for the 2nd, sorry, can't help there.

Cheers..

If you go into your voicemail in verizon you can go through the options menu and one of them will be to change numebr of rings
