Need opinion of entry level Siemens

I plan to purchase an inexpensive entry-level unlocked GSM phone for use in Europe and Australia. I have no experience with GSM handsets as I am a CDMA user.
Some opinions please about:
Siemens A55
Siemens M46
and Nokia 3310
My main priorities are call quality and user friendly menu system. Whatever phone I purchase will only be used for about one month per year. I don't need anything fancy....just something that will work and will not be obsolete (for voice and text only use) in a year or so.
What is EGSM?

if you're looking for user friendly, you might want to get a Nokia.
and if youre buying an unlocked phone, you might as well purchase it in your destination in europe.
