okay i am kinda new to this car stuff

normally i would find one i like my dad buys it and he takes
care of it all..BUT now i wanna learn

(Q)so if i bought a car off a friend wut do i do next

(Q)i know i have to regester it in my name right?

(Q)Do i have to pay ne fees or taxes as its a private deal so i dunno?

(Q)Can i regester it in my nanme but put my dad as hte primary so i can save on insurance?

(Q)how many cars are u allowed to be the primary on...my dad is primary on 2 already so this might be his 3rd?

if there is a site just send me there lol..i am searchin as we speak so all help is welcome includin some flaming cuz i am stupid lol

these Q's are pretty complicated, but i kno this so far that:

1). register it

2). yes, under whoever name's that bought it

3).since it's a private deal, you and the seller have to agree on something, come to some terms

4). if the car is registered under your name, then you have to be primary driver insured. not your dad.

5). not sure on the last one...... you can be primary on max 2 cars that are driven everyday.

boy, dont mean to flame, but shouldn't you do a search on google canada or something?

Answer to question 1,2, & 3

You have to pay transfer fees, get it insured, and make sure the registration is up to date. Depending on the year of the car, a smog check may be needed as well.

Answer to question 4

Both names can be on the title, therefore making it possible to be added to his insurance. Make sure you are not "exempted" on the insurance policy.

Answer to question 5

I'm not aware of any vehicle ownership cap!
