help with loading wallpaper picture on i95????

hey guys i have a i95 and i cant get pictures to show up on the screen. I have a picture of my dog that passed away about a week ago that i wanted to put on my phone that i scanned into my computer and is saved as a .gif file. I tried resizeing the picture to so many different sizes like 83x128, 120x127 and i tried so many other ones in between, and when resizing and saving it, i would save it as a gif and i tried putting the picture to all different color numbers thinking maybe it had to many colors for the screen, I tried everthing from 4 colors to 8, 16, 32, 64, and 256 but nothing is seeming to work, and the pics were only like 5-7 k also so thhey werent that big either. And when i would try to load them to my phone, they would go on and under wallpaper it would show the picture is there but when i go to preveiw it, it would just be a blank screen, like as if the wallpaper was turned off, and it does this for every option and size and resoltution i have tried, i have tried putting the picture as the wallpaper or just preveiwing it and it just shows a blank screen. but just to trry i saw a homer simpson gif that i saw in this site so for haha's i tried to put it on and it went on the phone with no problem, so i tried to put the picture i had to all the settings that the homer picture was on but still no luck just a blank screen. Please help me!!!! Thanks alot heres a pic maybe someone can help.
