Hello. Im thinking of purchasing the smartphone MPX200. However, AT&T has RIDICULOUS PLANS for their service. Like I only get 1MB per month for 7.99!! Which is not worth it

Im new at all this unlocking the phone stuff.

1.) I was wondering that if I bought the MPX200, how might I unlock it to work on different networks like TMOBILE, or CINGULAR?

2.) And if I were to unlock it, what wouldn't work??

3.) And would : internet (IE Explorer) and AIM (Messenger) work? Would I still be able to lookup movie times, news, stock quotes and stuff? and mMode?

4.) I currently don't have a cell phone, and I want to buy the MPX200 but want to activate it with TMOBILE or Cingular. Can I do that with this phone? How would I activate it?

No offence, but you might want to try using the Search button as there's dozens if not hundreds or thousands of people that have done this already.

Myself included. I bought the phone from CompUSA with an AT&T, cancelled the AT&T plan within 30 days b/c they sucked, and spent $20 to unlock it for T-Mobile.

Do I need an exisiting service plan from TMobile or Cingular to use the MPX200 on the different networks after I get it unlocked?

And the reason i dont want ATT is beacuse they charge a lot for wireless web, and people told me that cingular and tmobile dont charge that much. Can I still use Internet explorer and the web on the phoen after I am on the different carrier?

And what would you guys reccommend? Tmobile or Cingular?

T-Mobile has the best rates for data plans.

And unlocked MPx200 can be used on any network. You will need an account (and a SIM) for that network. You will have to reprogram the MPx200 network connections for whichever network you decide to go with.

Do a search for TMOBILE MPx200 for instructions for T-Mobile.

Just buy one already unlocked on Ebay. I did. It was new and I only paid 160 incl shipping. It works awesome on Tmobile with Tzones.

Do a search for motorola unlock on ebay. I got a company called mci trading to unlock mine for 10 bucks.
