line down middle of 8600 screen

The other day I went to use my phone and noticed a line down the inner screen (1 pixel in width). I've restarted my phone, etc, but the line doesn't go away. EXCEPT for a brief moment when the powering off screen comes up.
Has anyone else had this happen?

I've had mine for 2 months so far and I haven't experienced this problem.
But by reading all the threads regarding the 8600, I would definitely say that although this phone has a lot of kewl advanced features, it is also problematic.
Count yourself lucky if you have one that hasn't and will not cause you any problems.
The probability of this phone to have issues are higher than those of more established status.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with this.
