Connecting Siemens A55 To A PC?

I'd really like to connect my Siemens A55 to my computer to upload ringtones etc...using some sort of Data Exchange Software. I do have a serial cable which fits my Siemens S55, but when I plug it into my A55 and load up Windows nothing happens.

Do I need a powered USB cable to connect to my A55?
Please help!

I think it is possible but still can't find solution. You see it is possible to connect siemens c55 to pc but not a55.

1) One solution is to convert a55->c55 by copying c55 firmware into a55 and you will get c55 in a55 skin with gprs java and so on. Nothing serious all you need is cable and some programs. Lots of folks have done this and it works because a55 is physically the same as c55 only software is other. Information:

2)I don' t want to use first solution as i still have warranty. I have read that some are managed to connect a55 to pc using older des.
