I have gotten a Audiovox CDM-8500BM and I think it does not work in my area but I want to find out if there is a way to get it working? I live in a spot where there is only one TDMA/CDMA X1 carrier but I want to know if it would work elsewhere. I am thinking of selling it on eBay since it does not work here. Unless there is a way to get it onto the network like I have done with my GSM phones in the past.

If anybody has a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

I think after more research the BM at the end of the model number stands for Bell Mobility .... If this is the case does that mean this phone is only going to work on a Bell Mobility Network? I see Virgin in the States has the same phones as Pre-Paid ....... Help ... Please
