okay, i just got this phone and i have been trying to figure out all the in's and out's.

i saw some old posts regarding the stupid verizon banners that are both in the main display (under the reception indicator), and MORE IMPORTANTLY the flashing verizon logo on the outside of the phone screen. (the one that alternates between the clock and the verizon).

so has anyone figured out how to get rid of either of these?

cause i sure want that damn banner gone!

I returned the phone for this reason... that was back in October and I was hoping enough returns would convince Verizon to treat us like Telus does and not subject us to the blinking banner. They didn't listen, and even graced us with the same behavior on the 8900.
