IMO the slider is pretty sturdy. I've dropped it 3 times accidentally once on tile, another on hardwood floor, and once on cement. not a scratch or dent on the phone, no malfunctions either. wht bout u?

I loved my slider. I was afraid to put it down because I didnt want to mess up the screen with any dings or scratches. But with my luck after keeping my slider in perfect condition for about a month now I was sleeping and woke up because someone was calling my phone at 1:00 in the morning. So I turned the phone off, got up , without even thinking set the phone on top of my quilt then I went to go get a drink. When I returned I was so tired and didnt think. I grabbed the quilt off the bed and the phone flew into the air and I didnt know it till I woke up later and saw my phone laying on the tile(screen down by the way) I started freaking out. Damn now my new slider has a few deep scratches in the plastic. I dont want to get a replacement because I want the free wap. Does any one know how I can get this repaired without getting the phone replaced?

i dropped it oncce because i couldnt tell which of my phones was ringing, so i took the slider out of my pocket. when i realized it was my other phone i tried to put it in my pocket quickly and get the other one, but i dropped it (on the street by the way) it got scratched a little but its not all that noticeable. no problems since i got my clip.

you wanted a new phone just because you got a scratch or two in it? and you're the one that didn't want to waste more money on a camera phone right when you got your new slider.....

I've dropped my slider many times before. Some times have been worst than others though. I was getting of the subway and i reach to pull something out of my pocket and my phone falls right out and dropped on the concrete. That left a big diagonal crack in my screen.--Very deep
Other times it has been just minor scratches
Any info on where I can get my phone fixed or a new lcd screen or something would be appreciated

Phone sure is slippery.
I've dropped it enough times to make the two halves loose.
They barely snap open or shut anymore.

What I'm more worried about is the antenna though. I don't think it'll stay up under it's own power for much longer. I might find myself having to use my index finger to keep it extended during use not long from now.

I dropped it right on the screen a few times too. About 5 deep scratches appeared but can only be seen in front of a dark background.

I bet it freaked everyone out when they dropped their Slider and saw two large pieces fly in different directions. Of course, it was just the battery and the phone itself.

[edit]
Oh, and dispite dropping it around eight times, only the screen shows scratches. Mine has the purplish-blue body.

yeah. I was playing bass, and I put my phone in my pocket, but it missed my pocket and from the corner of my eye I saw it crash to the ground in to two pieces and I was freaked... "ohhh...the battery..."

wow. this phone (the slider) sure is durable. I went snowboarding yesterday and had my phone in my pants pocket and my ski-pants over my other pants. I fell a few times, and when I did, I fell hard on my right side from numerous different heights. I knew the phone was being slammed on the ice&snow but decided not to worry about the phone until I got back to the lodge. I got back, half expecting for the screen to be cracked and the antenna to be snapped off, but surprisingly, nothing was wrong with it cosmetically or internally.

haha Similiar happened to me.
I had my Slider in my breast pocket. I slipped on tile and fell flat on my face. My full bodyweight slammed my Slider to the tile floor.
Then I tried to get up and slipped again. I fell the same way, smashing my Slider.

After I got back onto carpet, I pulled out my Slider thinking the screen would be cracked. No damage what so ever.

Ive dropped mine maybe 4 or 5 times. Usually it was on a carpet or mat or somethong but once on cement so its not destroyed or anything. My pphones in mint contdition except for near the engraving that says kyocera there are a few little scratches. (I mean really tiny, u probably couldnt see it unless you squinted)
I've also sat on it several times by accident, and was afraid that when i took it out of my pocket that it would be broken. This phone is surprisingly very durable and sturdy

ive dropped mine like 8 or nine times on hard surfaces. concrete, wood, tile, and all, all that happens is the battery comes out adn a few scratches on the screen part, most durable phone ive ever had, and it seems so cheap and weak too.

mine has never been dropped

I'm on my third slider, first one got jacked within 2 days of owning it, second one I dropped once and the mic stopped working, the current one I drop every now and then and everything still works great.
