Maybe someone can help me here on my new Audiovox CDM8600
When I type a phone number on the keypad, nothing shows up on the screen. Instead all I get is a purple bar, along the bottom of the screen.

This is really dangerous if I have to dial a number that is not in my address book, while I am driving.

Anyway point is...I dont have clue how to get rid of this line so that I can see the number that I am typing.
I did download a couple of new screen savers yesterday, and have since deleted them as

sounds to me like your phone is phuqt. Might be a good idea to bring it in and have it looked at.

I've never heard of anything like that.
It's so unordinary that you should bring it back.

Don't settle for a defect, which it sounds like.
