HELP!! P800 +Laptop ..no email?

Hi

I am connecting to the net fine via my p800 with bluetooth to my laptop. I can surf the web with no problem, but..

When I try to respond to email with my email client I get errors. I can recieve email but can not respond, an I missing a proxy setting or something?

I am getting "the server responded with a no Starttls response"

Also, I used the setting on T-mobile configurator to configure my conection, the link is below

I also can't get AOL IM to connect while I am connected to the net via my p800 and bluetooth. Is there a proxy needed for AOL IM?


BTW, I am posting while surfing on my laptop via p800 and bluetooth

Wow~!

T-Mobile makes connecting tough. FIDO is much simpler. YOur internet is working judging by your last post. My guess is there is something specific to T_Mobile that is causing troubles. Not sure what that can be. I rec. you re-post this trouble in the T-Mobile forum as the problem seems to be more provider than Handset. Sorry I can't help any more than I didn't

This thread has several suggestions you could try. I assume you are using IMAP and a secure connection for your mail, perhaps that is the issue. Do you have just a simple pop3 account you can check?
