What the hell is a Panasonic?

I like the designs of their phones also. But, the reception has been awful on their phones. For such a high price, I expect more.

Posted by: phatroyale

too expensive for me

Posted by: Brandon17GSM

i'd prefer the X70 or GD88

Posted by: Brandon17GSM

well on my GD88 that i just sold the reception was no less than perfect for me unless i was in a 10,000 ft hole.... i've never experienced anything bad with the panasonics i've had

Posted by: Naveen

I dont know what it is---even my Siemens S46 had better recepetion and it dropped way less calls. Many people I have talked with out here in Ca have said the same thing

love it by default, if that makes any sense.

the gd55 doesnt have a color screen
the g51 doesnt have illuminated text
the g50 has all the basics i need

1.small size
2.color screen
3.downloadable wallpaper/ringtones
4.speakerphone
5.did i mention small size

though I did have problems with earlier firmware and had to return it for a new one. Also I got the keypad modded, but after all that, now I love it, especially after the mod!

check out my whining/b*tching here:

X70 wins hands down. Nothing else touches for features, though I can see why some people like the tiny-ness of G55s and similar. It does everything the Gx8x does and more, in a smaller package - so the people who voted for Gx8x over X70 have questions to answer.

I have never had a problem with reception or dropping calls (other than network, not phone) problems.

I actually love the design of the X70. I was waiting for the phone to come out here on attws, but after my experience with the gu87 i will save extra money for the moto. still i like the design of the x70, but i think it lacks performance based on my opinion of my gu87

V600 has J2ME (Java) rather than proprietry format for games
V600 is Quad band, X70 is Tri band
V600 has support for IMAP4 as well as SMTP e-mail
V600 has Video Playback MPEG4 and H.263 (but obviously, only low quality)

That's all the advantages of the V600 over the X70, as far as I can tell. I don't know what the software's like on the V600, so I can't compare, but if it's similar to other recent Motorolas, such as the T720, it'll be reasonable.

V600 lacks IR
X70 has different colours on external screen, also cool anologue clock

Motorola has traditionally had problems with poor build quality, but the V60/V60i had a metal case like the V600 has, and the V60/V60i was always better for build quality than most phones, so perhaps this one'll be OK.

i thought this thread was about "what was your favorite -panasonic- phone"?

Posted by: nickoli

It is.

But The X70 has cool lights too, especially if you set the case screen backlight colour for incoming calls to "rainbow".
