any opinions from ppl who have used both? or either one?
looking for a new phone and just wondering how they compare against each other! any help is appreciated,
thanks

i've used the T39m and i have a V66 SE now

I personally like the V66 SE better..but both good phones though

T39 over the V66 SE
-Alot more of features
-More solid
-thinner than V66 SE
-Cheaper

V66 SE over T39
-WWWAAAAYYY!!! better reception, ear piece volume and sound quality
-clamshell phone- protects screen..
- looks better..hehe
- Menu is alot faster than T39
-More limited..IMO

well, the V66 SE "is" special edition, and i think its harder to get a V66 SE then a T39

T39m is the perfect non color fone, if there ain't the NO NETWORK problem that is............

i'm still kinda struggling whether to get the v66 or t39......
it's a difficult choice for me......
someone help me out please!

how much better IS the sound quality on v66????

contrary to what Sharp said, my T39m with R4B firmware:
fast menus, solid reception, very loud earpiece (u'd hurt your ears if u had the thing on maximum in a quiet room)

compared to the v66 the T39 has:
way more features than the v66, funner games, T9 is way better than iTap, larger screen, better battery life, better build quality, loud ringer, better phonebook.

the T39m is truly a great phone.

i'm gonna sell mine for a V66 radar blue though.....i like the way it looks....plus it's smaller.

While T39's menu isn't as fast as a Nokia, it isn't slow either. Reception seems to vary depending on what network u are on. However the T39 just needs a solid 2 bars out of 5 to be fully functional. That says a lot. Like Player1 said, earpiece is very loud and u'll definitely need to turn it a couple of notches down if u are in a quiet area or it can be deafening What's amazing is that even if u crank it up to max volume, sound quality remains exceptional.

A lot of good things have been said about the v66 SE as well. Unless there are features that u need in the T39 that the v66 SE doesn't have, then it pretty much comes down to whether u perfer a clamshell phone, or a flip phone.

I don't think u can go wrong with either one.

are you sure the t39 has a bigger screen than the v66se.Because if the t39's screen is the same size as the t28,i would say the v66se has a bigger screen

Posted by: Player1

yes i'm sure that the T39m has a larger screen that displays 4 lines of text on the smallest font setting.

the v66/v60/v120 all display 3 lines of text....

the t39's screen is much nicer to look at....much clearer....higher resolution.

the t28w's screen is smaller than the T39m....i have both phones in front of me..

Oh,i was thinking about the actual screen size,

Posted by: Player1

well....the size is still bigger than a t28w.....

Posted by: chamcent

wow thx for all the advices.....
i think i'm gonna go for T39.....

but does anyone here uses T39mc which supports chinese input?

or just the T39m?

Posted by: penguin

Well, the 'c' in the end of T39m means chinese. I have it, but I'm not chinese, so I can't really tell how good this feature is.

Posted by: Player1

if u don't use chinese text entry than having a T39mc is a major drawback

no ems, no predictive text entry

sorry, my bad! It's T39m but it has chinese language and input. I do have EMS and T9. I confused it with my brother's T39mc.
