Inno90 data cable problems

Having problems getting my data cable connected to the phone and pc. Everything appears to be plugged in but the software is not detecting a connection between the two. I'm wondering if the data cable is defective cuz the computer is not automatically detecting a new device. (Cable from H.K.) Has anyone had a similar problem and could advise me on what to do? Any info would be much appreciated....thanx!

You arent going to see a pop up when you connect your cable.
It plugs into your existing serial bus. So did you install the software off the CD first? The steps to installation is as follows:

Insert CD and install software

Plug data cable into the SERIAL plug in the back of the computer

Plug the other end into the phone

What happens now is that you should see something happen on the phones main screen. If nothing changes then there must be something wrong with the cable. Also, have you been connecting it with the PC-Sync software running or without it?

Thanx for your suggestions! I've tried attaching the cables and stuff after installing the software. There's just no response from either the phone or the computer. I think I got a bunk cable, that's all. It's gotta be something wrong with it...any idea where I can get another one somewhere on-line ?

If your using the serial cable its not going to auto detect. You have click the connect button and it should find it.
