Alarm Clock on the P900

Hello,
Well... my P900's alarm clock is working fine, but I've noticed that when the phone is shut-down (OFF), the alarm isn't alarming at all.

Does the P900's alarm clock can work when to phone is off?
Anyway, at the exact moment, I'm using the FirmWare that installed when I bought my phone (I mean, I didn't update it yet...). Does the FirmWare has any connection to this?

Thanx a lot!
Ido.

you have to leave the phone "on" for the alarm setting to work

i'm glad that S-E decided that the alarm won't go off when the phone is powered down. it seems logical that the user will deliberately switch the phone off for a reason, e.g does not want to be disturbed and that nothing will override that. it's pretty irritating when my phone goes off when i'm on a flight. it's unintentional but then i'd have to tolerate the glacial stares from other passengers just because i was forgetful and didn't switch the alarm off.

what's important is this, the user is in control. if we want the alarm function, yet not want to be disturbed, just set divert to all calls, no?

just my $0.02.

Alternately, you can just put the P900 into flight mode, which disables the radio altogether, but the alarm will still work.

yeah, that's a great suggestion.
