Does Sharp have a special patent on the CGS screen or soemthing? I dont think they should have..since its just an increase in the number of pixles within the same screen area.

If this is so, then why arent other phone companies releasing phones with a screen that has a higher pixel count? Obviously its very impressive..and will make any product sell..The CGS screen is probably what made the GX20 sell..

If I am not wrong, the CGS technology is exclusive to Sharp as they are the ones who developed it.

CGS is nothing to do with the amount of pixels on screen, you are slightly confused.

There are many other manufacturers (at least 10) in Japan who are making TFT screens with the same amount of pixels (240x320) as the GX20. But CGS is developed by Sharp.

mmm my personal opinion is that... why jump to the extreme hardcore stuff when these company can juz gradually get there?? i mean even in japan they sell 2megapixel and all this stuff, we in other parts of the world have just reached vga camera... mite as well go step by step... cuz which ever way people will buy right? ofcuz they will!! might as well make the most of it and release as much models (without going overboard ofcourse) and get more $$ instead (this is company gettin the $$...from you...LoL)...

i dont know thats just how i see it anyway

its not just a matter of *bang* there we got the best that the technology of todays world can provide... these companiese only really have one thing on their mind...that is making money ofcourse!!

don't see the need of it yet.. and not many are willing to shell out serious cash for one...
