P900 - Answer and Hang Up With Flip

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Just got my p900 recently and was wandering if there's any way to answer/end calls by opening/closing the flip?

Have searched everywhere to find this info but not having much luck

Not sure but as the flip isn't for calls like clam models I think not.

aww boo! Shame really, it would be so much quicker to answer & hang up using the flip, plus it makes you feel cool (how shallow am I!)

Thanks NEway

The design intent is that you answer the phone with the flip closed. Once you're on a call, opening the flip will automatically switch you into speaker phone mode so that you can access PDA functions while you continue to talk. Closing the flip will switch back into handset mode.

Hope that helps.

Really? Have to try that. It sounds as if the speakerphone/flip functionality will be more useful that using it to answer/end the call anyway. I quite like chatting hands free.

One other newbie question Does the sensivity of the mic increase when on hands free?

Thanks for the help

i think an active flip would be neat as well... i'm not a programer, but a simple java app should do it (though it would have to constantly run in the background)

I assume it does. What I can say is that when I've used my P900 in speakerphone mode, the other party can hear me just fine when I speak at a conversational level.
