Hi... i have a P802 in chinese ... but i cant access it ... a virtual keypad shows up when i start it up... i believe its the enter ur sim card # or somehting... but anyways... that happends to my P900 when i dont have a sim card... so i put a sim card in the P802 and start it up.. same thing... it went to that virtual keypad thing...

so i was wondering if i could just reset the whole thing... and put an english OS in the P802

suggestions on how to do this or other methods?

There's a thread over at allaboutsymbian where a guy took an o2 branded P900 into an SE service centre and they re-flashed it with a standard SE firmware, i.e. willingly removed all the branding for him.... Under warranty! Maybe your local service centre could do something similar, assuming that the P802 hardware is identical to the P800.

Just a thought.

thanks for the info... but my thing isnt under warranty cuz it was bought in asia
